Weak on Illegal Immigration

• Opposed anything of substance that involved the use of E-Verify to check the legal status of workers.
  – Opposed HB 700 & 704: Required all employers to check new hires using the E-Verify system.
  – Opposed HJM 11 (2024): Non-binding resolution asking Congress to hold the Biden administration accountable for the border crisis and mandate businesses use the E-Verify system.
• Opposed HB 660 which would gather statistical information about the burden of illegal immigration on the prison system.
• Makes videos trying to justify illegal “cheap” labor. You can watch the video Here or below.
• Was exposed for welcoming back a criminal illegal after he got out of jail for trying to strangle his wife and possession of meth.
  • Her response was to play the victim when a tip was given to ICE.
• Scored an “F” on IdahoImmigrationWatch.org and took $15,578 from “cheap” labor donors (FYI: In 2024 Stephanie spent about $77k, while her opponent had less than $17k but got 32% of the vote). Stephanie has a lot of money from her businesses. She also seems to make accusations of dark money but she is full of it.
• She deceives voters into thinking she is against illegal immigration by talking about the border instead. It’s safe to talk about the border since she has little influence on it. We are only one election away from the boarder being wide open again. States do have jurisdiction over hiring practices and can remove the largest incentive that fuels the illegal immigration problem. 
• The only bill she seemed to support (as a co-sponsor) was an E-Verify bill that applied to nearly no one (>$100k in contracts with state agencies AND more than 150 employees) – SB 1247.
  • SB 1247 was amended to make it stronger, and she voted against it.
